2 Day Guitar Kit Building Workshop in Victoria, British Columbia for sale

Here is a great opportunity for those who want to dive into the world of Luthiery and get your hands dirty. Vigilant is now offering a 2 day workshop where you get to put the finishing touches on your own guitar. 


The workshop gets you a Strat or Tele partially pre-built to your specs and prepared for you to do the final fretwork, sanding, finishing, wiring, assembly and set-up. Instructed by Trevor Woodland of Vigilant Guitars, you and up to 3 other participants will dive into the physics, principles and tricks of the luthiery trade giving you greater insight into how to modify, set-up and maintain your instrument. 


You will be:

Carving your own neck profile
Hammering in frets
Hand rubbing an oil finish
Levelling, crowning and dressing your frets
Wiring the pots, pickups and switches point-to-point
Assembling the hardware
Setting up your instrument to suit your playing style


The workshop includes all timber, hardware and tools for a basic Strat or Tele. If you want to opt for an exotic wood or premium hardware, we can substitute the basic option for your preference. As this workshop is designed to be educational, some options will not be available. Please inquire for specs and alterations. Woodworking experience not necessary but recommended. All safety equipment provided.
