Background
I bought this boat off my Dad in 2012. Since I've bought it, it's been in local waters off Sidney in 2012, 2013 in the summers, and has sat in my driveway the rest of the year and following year(s).
She's an older boat, very cute, and handles well. My kids we younger then and loved going fishing in it. It's a great weekend/summer boat.
The Boat
The boat is a good condition for it's age but is obviously 45 ish years old. It has lots of wood finish inside. The cutty cabin is in good condition with 2 bench seat that lift up for storage. There's a toilet under there (we never used it - get the bucket, or hold it!). There's also the anchor chain/rope hold up front as well. In the cabin there's a hatch that lifts up.
The cockpit has 4 seats. The captain and 1st mate seats lift up. The back two seats are fixed and don't move, but are comfy enough. The seats has taken a lot of sun beating, so they're obviously cracked (so we've taped them). There's quite a bit of room to move around, get rods out, grab the net when you catch the big one! The canopy is in good shape, has a few minor knicks in it, and a few of the snaps have come out of the fibreglass. Everything that needs to be fixed (and there's a few small items - are all easy stuff).
The Trailer
The trailer is in good shape. It hasn't moved in 4 years, so it could used a tune up. Everything works good, has brakes etc. I'm a computer guy not a mechanic, so I don't know much more than that.
The Engine
The engine is a Yamaha 115hp. It's a older model (mid 2000s), but runs well. I haven't had had it serviced ($240) and it's running nicely. The steering wheel in the cockpit controls the power steering which works well too.
The Gear
The boat comes with
- VHF radio, Loran Depth Sounder, Yamaha 115 engine & fuel tank, power steering, 2 adult life jackets, boat hook, 3 fenders for mooring, anchor, anchor chain/rope, fishing net, boat soap, bucket, scrub brush.
Why I'm selling it
My family has grown and sadly we've outgrown the boat. My kids are 14,12,12 and they want to camp or roadtrip and just don't want to fish. I'd love to fish, but we don't have a truck to pull the boat.
I'm sad to see it go. Looking for cash, no trades please.
